I adore the images of women photographed by Irving Penn in the 50's. The style was amazing, the women always older and so very elegant. I have pored over them all my adult life in utter admiration. I have also always loved the Georgian Sack dresses that women wore over their corsetry with the huge pleated back of the dress emphasising the tiny, pinched waist in the front. This dress is my homage to both of these loves. A dress that works on a fuller figure, to flatter and create a fabulous figure, that is comfortable and easy to wear. The illusion is created by the belt only going around part of the dress, through slits in the front. I am wearing a corset, a waist cincher, beneath with my own belt in front to give the illusion of a small waist. The dress flares out behind me doing all the rest of the work.
Heavy dupion silk in yellow, red, purple and black. I can work in any colour to order. If a special order it will be 10 days or 2 weeks for delivery. Made in England

As with all Devotion clothing, if an item is specially made or ordered it cannot be returned, only adjusted. But if items are in stock returns are possible provided the item is returned undamaged and has only been tried on, not worn, as such.
