I had just finished the biography of Beau Brummell when I made this coat and was infuenced by his style, I have to confess. I love the whole Georgian period, especially the mens’ clothes. This coat is gorgeous on. It is unlined and has no buttons. It is designed to be worn over a waistcoat with a skirt or long slim trousers beneath.
